About the developer
From Python projects to God, Save the Queens!
God, Save the Queens! is a solo developed indie game by a young Hungarian student alongside high school.
“I started working on God, Save the Queens! in August 2023, when I was 14 years old. Now, as I approach my 18th birthday, the game is finally nearing release after almost four years of solo development. Throughout high school, I dedicated countless evenings, weekends, and entire summer breaks to programming, designing gameplay systems, and creating pixel art for the game. My journey into game development began at the age of 13, when I taught myself Python through online tutorials and developer forums. Using the Pygame library, I created several small games before moving to the Unity Engine in 2022. In 2023, I released my first Unity game, Country Quiz 2, a multiplayer geography game where players compete to identify country flags from around the world. Shortly after its release, I was inspired by the GMTK Game Jam 2023 winner Princess Paladin, which sparked the idea for God, Save the Queens!—the most ambitious project I have ever undertaken. Today, God, Save the Queens! represents nearly four years of learning, creativity, and perseverance, all driven by a passion for making the game I always dreamed of creating.”
